WATCH: Howard University interim president addresses unenrollment of hundreds of students

Howard University’s interim president said he takes “full responsibility” for the distress caused by an email sent to more than 500 incoming freshmen, informing them that they had been unenrolled from the university just weeks before classes start.

Wayne A. I. Frederick addressed the backlash the university has received after sending the email out last week. The university has been examining each case individually and has restored enrollment to some students who received the email.

The notification went to incoming freshmen who were not in proper financial standing.
