A woman is dead following a domestic-related homicide involving a husband and a wife in Fairfax County, Virginia, late Sunday night, according to police.
The domestic shooting happened in the 12000 block of Washington Brice Road, according to Fairfax County police.
Officers were called to the Fair Oaks home at around 10:30 p.m. and found a woman dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
“The investigation is ongoing, but we do have a suspect detained, and there are no outstanding parties,” Deputy Chief Brendan Hooke said during a news conference early Monday.
Police haven’t publicly identified the woman who was killed or her husband.
Fairfax County police are investigating the shooting and asked anyone with information to contact the department.
