A man was arrested Monday after police said he approached the U.S. Capitol with a gun in his vehicle.
The vehicle was stopped at the North Barricade entrance to the Capitol in D.C., according to U.S. Capitol Police. Firearms are not allowed on Capitol grounds.
It led to a significant response from Capitol Police to the area, just off Constitution Avenue on the Senate side of the Capitol.
Capitol Police initially asked people to avoid the area.
Investigators said they are still looking into why the man drove to the Capitol. Police told 杏吧原创 no one was hurt.
