WASHINGTON — D.C. lane closures are expected to cause delays through the Wednesday morning commute.

Two center lanes on 14th Street in NW are closed between Constitution Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue because of a possible sinkhole, the . The closure will be in place through Wednesday morning’s rush hour, according to the District Department of Transportation.

“Crews from DDOT and DC Water are currently investigating a condition that has undermined the roadway at this location,” DDOT wrote in a

DDOT has not released specific information about what is undermining the road.

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ on northbound 14th Street NW is still progressing through the area, but DDOT encourages motorists to use alternate routes to avoid congestion.
